STEP believe in the importance of protecting our natural world. Our environment is our most valuable resource, and it is up to all of us to preserve it for future generations.

Our environmental initiatives aim to make a positive impact on the health of our planet. From planting trees and cleaning up polluted areas to educating local communities about sustainability, we are committed to making a difference.

Tree Planting

STEP NGO is working to promote reforestation by planting trees in areas where deforestation has occurred. We identify locations in the district where large-scale tree planting is needed, and provide the resources and equipment required for the project. Our goal is to plant at least 10,000 trees in the district every year, with a focus on indigenous tree species.

Waste Management:

Improper waste management is a significant environmental problem in the district. STEP NGO is working to address this issue by providing waste management solutions to local communities. We organize awareness programs to educate people about the importance of proper waste disposal and segregation, and we provide waste bins and other resources to help communities manage their waste effectively.

Community Clean-Up:

STEP NGO organizes regular community clean-up events in Kurnool district. We work with local communities to identify areas that need to be cleaned up, and we provide the necessary resources and equipment to make it happen. These events help raise awareness about the importance of keeping our environment clean, and they make a real difference in the health of our local ecosystem

Water Conservation:

STEP NGO is working to promote water conservation practices in the district. We organize awareness campaigns to educate people about the importance of water conservation, and we work with local communities to implement rainwater harvesting systems.

STEP NGO can also help raise awareness about the benefits of rainwater harvesting and encourage people to adopt this practice in their communities.

STEP NGO can also collaborate with local government bodies and other organizations to implement rainwater harvesting projects and develop infrastructure for the same. This includes identifying suitable sites for rainwater harvesting structures such as check dams, ponds, and percolation tanks, and helping to design and construct them.

Additionally, STEP NGO can work with local communities to maintain and manage these structures to ensure that they continue to function effectively in the long run.

NGO in Water Conservation program would be to work with local communities in Adivasi areas to promote rainwater harvesting and implement the techniques and practices associated with it.
